Set up/Exposition:

Karachi, August 2011, 7:45 a.m. Kamran was on his way to college. It was his first day of college and he was quite nervous because he had heard different rumors about the college and its history with ragging. He was thinking about it in his mom's car as she was driving him off to college. He gets out from his mom's car as she drops him off at the college gates in the morning. Troubled by all the rumors that he has heard about the school's ragging system and the history it has had with the subject, Kamran seems to be disturbed by the thought of being ragged. His expressions indicate the he seems to be unhappy about something. He isn't enthusiastic about his very first day at college compared to many other newcomers. Kamran reaches the college's main corridor/hallway, and searches for the notice board with the list containing the names, classes and sections of the new students, that is hidden amidst the crowd of students also in that place for the same reason. After pushing and shoving through, Kamran finally gets to see the list. After checking his class and section, he manages to get out of the crowd through some hindrance from the crowd.

Confrontation:

However the fear of being ragged enters into Kamran's mind again as he sees the second year students in the hallway, with some having spray cans, others paints and others water balloons in their hands. To shake the fear off, he makes his way to the washroom to wash his face. While in the washroom washing his face, Kamran encourages himself by believing that it's just ragging and nothing else, but when he raises his face after washing his face, he sees three guys, probable second years, in the mirror. Startled by the scenario, he turns around and one of the boys, who is the leader, speaks to Kamran, asking him if he is new in college. Without answering his question, Kamran makes a quick effort to get out of the washroom, but is denied by one of the guys, who is standing close to the washroom exit. They grab him and rag him, by rubbing black paint on his face and making him wear a tutu. After that they tell him to do a dance so that they could make a video in order to win a bet. At first Kamran refuses, but then decides to do it on hearing that he would have to face these "bullies" for the whole year. He is taken to one of the back alleys and there Kamran dances for these guys in a very miserable way. They let him go after he amuses them.

After that, Kamran returns to the washroom, only this time to wash off the black paint from his face. After doing that he checks the timetable to find the period he currently has and finds his class. On finding his class, he enters the class with the teacher’s permission and then sits down after finding a seat. He starts to concentrate on the teacher’s lecture, when all of a sudden, he gets distracted when one a person sitting behind him puts an empty cigarette pack in his shirt. Kamran pulls it out and on finding a cigarette pack he gets scared. By this time the teacher also sees the activity and reaches at the spot to investigate. On seeing Kamran holding the cigarette pack, he thinks Kamran is a smoker and takes him to the principal's office without delay. In the office the principal does not believe Kamran and asks for proof that he does not have. At this point the principle pick the pen to sign the paper to expel him, and Kamran begins to plead with the principle and the teacher, when suddenly both of them start to say "Wake up Kamran!" at which Kamran is totally confused. The voice of two changes to a single voice, and is confirmed when Kamran's eyes open in his mom's car and with his mom waking him up. He realizes that he had been dreaming all this time and gets out of the car to go to college.

Resolution:

He stands in front of the college gates for a couple of seconds and recollects himself after seeing a horrible dream. Knowing that it was just a dream, he regains his courage and enters the college. As soon as he enters the college, he finds his way to the notice board and searches for his class and section along with many others who have formed a crowd. On finding the information, he exits from the crowd and starts looking for his class room. As he is looking, he hears some voices of people talking, which resemble to those heard in his dream. He looks around but does not find anyone familiar. Believing that it was a dream, he returns to look for his class again, but this time someone puts their hand on his shoulder and when Kamran turns around to see who it is, he finds the leader of the bullies from his dream standing there. He asks if Kamran is new in the college, to which Kamran screams from frustration.
